Diet – An Autism Treatment You Might Not Have Thought Of
When you think about autism treatments for your child, teenager or adult, do not overlook diet. It may not occur to you at first, but what your loved one with autism is eating is just as important, if not more, than the medications or therapies he is getting in terms of affecting behavior and well-being. Many children with autism need to avoid certain ingredients in common foods, as they are very sensitive to them.
Autism Treatment Using Diet
Using diet as an autism treatment is often called a biomedical intervention. You will want to avoid artificial ingredients, food dyes, and as much sugar as possible. These can all bring havoc onto the system.
Vaccines Cause Autism – Fact or Fiction?
The autism statistics don’t lie. No matter how you crunch the numbers, autism has increased faster than any other health problem ever facing children in our history. The increase of autism went from 1 in 10,000 children 25 years ago to 1 in 110 children and specifically 1 in 68 boys. There are many environmental factors also involved such as pollution in our air, water and food, chemicals and plastics and the huge consumption of pharmaceutical drugs, but consider these basic facts. Autism is affecting children no matter where they live or how they live. It affects the wealthy families and the poor, the children living with smog in major cities and children in the rural country. Matters not if a child is raised with a really good diet or children who eat processed junk foods, autism has no prejudice.
The one thing most of these children have in common is they all start vaccines within the first months of life and if a child is fully vaccinated they will get 36 vaccines by the age of 2. Most autism is diagnosed by the age of 18 months when development slows or stops as observed by parents. The true test would be to study the unvaccinated and compare them with the vaccinated population. This is the one study that would really show how vaccines are effecting a whole generation of children. Until this independent study is done, can we ever be sure that vaccines don’t cause autism? After 30 years of vaccine research, I believe that the #1 cause of autism is the vaccines. Until we are willing as a society to stop and get some answers, I believe epidemic will continue to grow. A responsible society must be willing to stop anything that could possibly contribute to this crisis. The first place to start is with the vaccines we are injecting to our babies. Yes, Vaccines cause autism in children, the children who are able to handle the toxic load in the vaccines.
Jaundice – Autism Study Raises Unanswered Questions
There are few claims that children who suffered jaundice at the time of birth have chances of getting the disease called ‘Autism’. By itself, autism is classified as a disease caused by genetic disorder. At the time of birth, most children have infantile jaundice which is regarded harmless. If the jaundice is not treated, it can cause damage to the brain, but there is not enough proof to show the relation between jaundice and autism.
A study in Denmark on 733,826 children revealed that 35,000 suffered from infantile jaundice and 577 contracted autism. Amongst the autistic children, 61% had suffered from jaundice at birth while the rest acquired it due to genetic disorder. But this study did not show which disease caused the other.
Till the child is in the womb, the recycling of the dead red blood cells which release a substance called ‘bilirubin’ is managed by the mother’s liver. After delivery, it takes a while for the liver of the child to take over the function. In this period, presence of higher levels of bilirubin in the child’s blood causes jaundice. This condition gets treated without medication in a few days. Relation between autism which is a disorder in the functioning of the brain and liver disorder is not yet established.
